My experience on attaining a Google Ads Search Certification.

Well, my journey for this started on the first lesson of Digital and Social Media Marketing (DSMM). The class was assigned to sit through a course that was about 2 hours long. It was a painful one, the class was cold and was so boring. But I still tried my best to read and attempt the course.

Painful Learning

I learnt about what Google Ads Search was used for, who used it, how companies used it. All the different functions and ways Google Ads Search assist and help companies to increase their SEO based on their goals. Whether it was to increase sales, drive traffic, brand awareness, leads, etc.

Google Ads Search also taught me the different types of ad campaigns from Search Network to Video and how they are used to target customers. It showed me how the bidding system works which was interesting yet confusing. Basically, in this picture below, it shows you what was taught and what I had to sit through.

The Test

Weeks later, I was told to sit for a test for the class and turns out it was this Google Ads Search assessment. When I did it in class, I did not do too well because I was not prepared and ended up with a 60/100. Only after the test, I realised that I could get a certification, which made me realise that this certification could be useful in the future. Hence, I retook the test again. This time, with the help of Google Ads Help, I managed to get 96/100 and am now Google Ads Search Certified.

Final Words

I am pretty glad I learned about Google Skillshop and found out I could take so many online courses like Google Ads Search and get certified. I may find it useful in the future and it's always great to possess such advanced technical skill and knowledge in this day and age as it gives me an edge over others. Therefore, I recommend people even to try out Google Skillshop and take up a course and pick up that certification for a skill.
